Black & Blue from the TGU

On Friday we went for our max in Turkish Get Ups. We started out with kettle bells but they only go to 24kg so we switched to a barbell and plates. Things where going well until I lost control of the bar while attempting 40kg and bounced the weight off my left wrist. I didn’t break anything but I sure sprained the shit out of it!

Wade KILLED it in the Turkish Get Ups, finishing with a max of 105lbs! Here’s some video with Turkish get ups and Jewish music.

Luckily there was an ice pack at the gym so I wrapped my wrist up and froze it immediately. Since then I’ve been icing, compressing, ibuprofening  and taking  Tissue Rejuvenator from Hammer Nutrition. Five days later and my wrist is definitely sore and bruised but there is minimal swelling. It will take a few weeks before I’m doing push-ups but I did a workout last night without much discomfort.
